The Vivi Encounter

Dave's teenage films...

Dave has always been passionate about film. He  bought his first 8mm cine camera at age 13 and made countless short films throughout his teens including; "The Door", "The Million Dollar Man versus the Dalek with the Golden Gun", "The Skull", and "Cornelius and Zira" (the last films based on the popular movie series - Planet of the Apes.)

Dave built the full sized Dalek, created the animations, made and applied all the make-ups and wrote and directed the films. This was from age 13 to 17.

Getting an early break to work on Star Wars in 1979 enabled Dave to fulfill his dream of working in the movie industry. He worked with directors George Lucas, Robert Zemeckis, Terry Gilliam, Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Brian Levant, and was at the cutting edge of the evolving new technique of animatronics.
